INGREDIENTS (6-8 rolls):
- 100g glutinous rice flour
- 20g sugar
- 150ml water
- Cornstarch or potato starch (for dusting)
- 1-2 bananas
Optional: Melted chocolate, Nutella or chocolate chips.
INSTRUCTIONS:
- In a bowl, mix glutinous rice flour, sugar and water until smooth
- Cook the mixture: Microwave: Heat for 1 minute, stir, and heat another 1 minute until thick and translucent. Steaming: Steam for about 10-12 minutes
- Generously dust a clean surface with cornstarch
- Transfer the hot mochi dough onto the surface and gently flatten it into a thin rectangle
- Place peeled bananas on one edge of the mochi sheet
- Roll tightly to form a log, like a wrap
- Cut into bite-size rolls
- Drizzle with melted chocolate or sprinkle with chocolate chips if desired
TIPS:
- Dust well to prevent sticking
- Best eaten fresh while soft and chewy
- You can chill for 10-15 minutes for cleaner slices
